Halloween Treats

Well, I have been very busy making over 100 Halloween goodies for my daughter, nephew and my BF two children. I enjoy creating things for their classmates. I try to do something for each holiday. For the younger children, I made decorated some small treat bags that I found at Michael's with Halloween patterned paper and cuts from the mini monster cart and wrap it up.

For my daughter, I decorated pillow boxes and filled them with candy. I used some spider and potion stickers from Michael's. The boxes were wrapped with orange ribbon. Then I made 25 tombstone shaped cards to go with the boxes using the Life's a Party cart. She is ging to write a spooky poem for the inside.

Finally we could not forget the teachers. So for them I used a Hot off the Press stencil to make picnic baskets out of card stock . They were filled with candy and wrapped in clear bags. I used the wrap it up cart to make name tags for the baskets.

Celebrate the Occasion

I decided to make a card for the Celebrate the Occasion challenge. I used the Best Friends Imagine cart to make a quick doll and the challenge had to include ribbon. I just punched the side and threaded some teal ribbon through.

Clown B-day

Here is a quick card, I made using the paper doll dress up cart. Some balloon stickers from Hobby Lobby,  and card stock from Michael's. Clown was printed with the Imagine.I will be entering this on the Die Cuttin Divas page.

I'm BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my where has the time gone. Well, I was away for a minute because I had a ton of events to get ready for. First, I graduated Aug. 13 with a Master Degree in Health Administration. So glad that is over, and I am proud to say I obtained a 4.0 GPA. Next was back to school for my daughter. She is in the 8th grade this year and in all double honor courses. So, we had to design her book cover, notebooks, and folders. Not to mention she is also a very talented flute player. That means more lessons and fundraisers. Finally I had to reset my mind to get ready for health information manger course work for the next 6 months to get my certification.

Crafting was my relief from all of that. I just forgot to post what I had been doing still getting used to this. So, I am back with lots of craft projects and some new machines and items that I received for graduation, ( Cricut Imagine and Cinch Binding Machine to name a few.

First Easel Card

I had no idea what an easel card was until I happened upon the challenge at Celebrate the Occasion. The challenge this week is to create a birthday theme card that must be an easel. Well, after viewing a how-to video on YouTube, this is my first creation using only a small tag from the lacy label cart. The paper is from DCWV and flowers from Michael's. I am now excited to make many more easel cards.

Well, it is that time again for another challenge. I decided to make a bookmark for my daughter. School just started back this Monday, and I enjoy making book covers, book-markers and decorating her notebooks and binders. The challenge was to use page 89 from the tags, bags, boxes and more cart.

Party Gifts

I had purchased the Xyron Creative Station a while ago but had not really used it. I decided that as gifts to the other children at day care, my son and I would make some magnets and some counting hippos for the children to play with. After cutting the monkeys and Poohs, we used the creative station to turn them into magnets. It  was so quick and easy with placing the magnet material on the back of the cuts. I now want to make more things with it.

Next we cut out 50 hippos to make 5 counting rings 1-10 and laminated them suing the Yourstory.

These three items were done in less than two hours. I put each cricut machine to work  to handle a specific item. My sister stopped by and said that it was Cricut madness going on at my house. Nevertheless, I got the job done with time to watch Rio with my son and daughter.

M.A. G. Challenge 38

Well, I did not realize that I had this cart, at the last minute, I put together a quick card for the challenge. The only thing I could think of was a Christmas scene. So here is my card for the M.A.G. challenge.

M.A.G. Challenge 37

Another challenge and another chance for me to use a cart that I have not used yet. This time it is the Hello Kitty Greetings cart. I have wanted to use it,  but just never got around to it. Well, I decided to decorate one of my daughter's index card boxes to hold her notes.  And of course, it had to have some bling.

MAG Challenge 36

Well, I have decided to enter another MAG Challenge. I am just loving this site because I get a chance to look at some pages on a cart that I may have overlooked. This challenge is with the Create-a-Critter cart using the images on page 59. I decided to make a scrapbook page using the star and horse shoes as background images. The stars were stamped with the peachy keen pk-490 set. The eyes were colored in with glitter pens.

Last Minute B-Day Card

My son is going to a birthday party on Saturday for a beautiful little girl who is turning 3. They attend  day care together. I have been so busy this week, with finding some crafty gifts that we  forgot about the card. So my son picked out some pattern paper and we made a quick card to celebrate her big day. We used the Lacy label cart, a ribbon punch, some stickles, and cupcake stickers.

Miss Talking to You

Hi
Sometimes with having such a active life, you do not have time to sit down and talk with your friends and family as much as you would like. This week has been so busy with preparing for back to school and planning for Christmas that I have not had time to talk with my best friend. Therefore, I decided it would be nice to send a card to let her know that I haven't forgotten her and to say hi through good old-fashioned  snail mail.

For the cards, I used the Lacy Labels cart for the frame, and the sentiment came from the Wild Card cart. I used different cuttlebug folders to change up the backgrounds.
